Botanical name: Brassiica Rapa subspecies Chinensis
Chinese Cabbage is a typical small, dark brassica seed. Although related to the turnip, it has a mild, fairly sweet flavour.
Nutritional Value: Low in Saturated Fat and Cholesterol, it is a good source of Dietary Fibre, Protein, Thiamin, Niacin and Phosphorus, and a very good source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Riboflavin, Vitamin B6, Folate, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Potassium and Manganese. However it is high in Sodium, and a large portion of the calories in this food come from sugars.
